This program has been developed to help children into the habit of thinking reflectively by receiving a prompt or question each week that they will then pose to themselves after a parent or teacher has helped them into a more relaxed and meditative state. This can be done at bedtime when a child is naturally receptive to relaxing or within a small group or family setting with an adult facilitator to help them into it.
The “Source and Center” button under each of the “Angels of Progress” categories that begin a new cycle will provide a simple centering exercise that can be used weekly to help the child with their centering and relaxation process. Once they relax, give them the weekly prompt or question and a little time to close their eyes and reflect on it. It’s important that the feeling is one of asking themselves a question and finding an answer that’s more from the heart than their busy minds.
Afterwards they can share their answers with the adult or with whoever is participating in the exercise with them. To gain consistent practice in connecting with themselves and the living Spirit residing in their hearts is the whole point.
The prompts in this first cycle, “Listening”, will contain further information about the structure and flow that will pertain to all of the following question cycles.
