Nelson Mandela was a great African leader whose deep faith enabled him to lead his people effectively and with great moral courage, through many struggles. In sharing his wisdom about the true nature of courage, he said, "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid but he who conquers that fear."
